  1. Add the option to switch between electron and conventional flow.

As an Australian user of this app, I work with electron flow making some of the out come of my circuits a little confusing. Knowing that most components, such as diodes and transistors are visually in conventional flow in symbol form. To be able to switch to electron flow (negative to positive) could be a good addition to this app, making it easier for some or even experimental to observe the out come. So far the app is great and useful in my studies, thank you for developing this.

  3. Add 12AX7, 12AT7, EL84, 6V6, 6L6, EL34 vacuum tubes

As a guitar amp designer, I bought this app as a way to prototype circuits without having to used an over-complicated program like Eagle. The common vacuum tube types (for starters) are 12AX7, 12AT7, EL84, 6V6, 6L6, and EL34. Unfortunately I don't see any options for even a generic tube which you could input operational values. If that is too complex of an undertaking, maybe just explicitly define the above tubes, after all, they are the most common tubes being used in amp design (and has been for decades). Hoping you can implement this!

  4. I think that rotary switches and possibly an LM317T

Adding rotary switches would be cool as well as LM317T and maybe multiple 7segment display say 5stringed together with a built in decoder and the 4digital inputs for the 7seg driver

  5. iCircuit for Mac OS X should Open .CIR files it creates

Version 1.7 of iCircuit for Mac OS X lets you save a circuit as a .CIR file only. But it will not open them again. Examples at the iCircuit website are also in .CIR format and iCircuit won't open them, complaining that it cannot open files in MacSpice Source files.

  6. Add touch interface elements to library

For example add buttons and sliders that show on screen and can be used to effect change in a circuit. Sliders can vary the voltage output or frequency of a source, buttons can be used to toggle things like switches, etc.

This could allow for some really cool circuits and would provide an analogue to real world push buttons and sliders/rotary dials.

The only issue I see with this would be determining whether the user is try to push the button or select it, perhaps make them so that they can only be selected by selection box?

Just looking to expand the library for IC. This would save on time & space when creating a new project.

  9. Quartz Parameters

I am happy to see quartz devices! Great! But. I am not convinced about the parameters. Rather to have Q factor, I thin, it makes more sense to enter R (ESR) and L. ESR is one of the most important parameters, therefore it need to be entered. Please consider. If you have any question, do not hesitate to contact me, I am FAE for quartz.

  14. Improve touch interface

-wire auto route. When moving/adding a wire don't want everything to become scrambled.
-wire mode: zoom and scroll with 2 fingers in wire mode
-normal mode: instead of one or two finger scroll make it only two finger zoom and scroll. Make it so when you put two fingers on the screen to scroll it doesn't move any other components around accidentally. looks like its "planned" already
-change one finger scroll in normal to making a select box for deleting multiple things at once
-attach the meter and scope to a fixed given component so that for example, you can…

  15. Option to view ic's in a view that looks like the actual chip.

I prefer to see ic chips like you'd see on A bread board. With the pins around the perimeter. For example on an 8 pin chip there are 4 pins on one side and 4 on the other.

  19. Add non-realtime audio buffering

Currently the speaker output rarely works live due to lack of processor power. Maybe the audio could be buffered into memory or streamed into a wav/aiff/mp3 file or better yet, into audio clipboard (the free AudioCopy SDK by Retronyms has been a de-facto standard for years, but maybe regular iOS clipboard would suffice too)

  20. More controls on sub-circuits

We already can create sub-circuit but it seems we cannot make sub-circuits using other sub-circuits. I don't know if it is a bug or a feature not yet implemented.
I tried to implement a logical 'full-adder' with an intermediate 'half-adder' as presented in the 'Code' book. I manage to create an 'half-adder' but the 'full-adder' doesn't wok with the sub-circuits 'half-adder'.

It will be very useful to add those sub-circuits in a library for future use. Currently iCircuit is very buggy when loading higher level circuit it fails at loading lower level ones. I also don't know where iCircuit is…
