Ability to colour wires
I sometimes run harnesses with 12 or more wire colours (pink, pink/blue trace, white, red, orange, orange/ green trace etc etc) yes I can label the colour but it also make it very quick to identify pathways via colour.
4 votesWire colors are now in version 1.12

Add a 'trigger lock' function to the SCOPE
The continuously running scope is not very useful when you can't set a trigger to make the waveform appear stationary.
1 voteYou can trigger the scope. Pause it for a moment, then drag the trigger value to the value you want. Tap it to switch the trigger edge.

Have a radio button to allow AC supplies to be set as RMS or p-p
AC supplies are almost always defined by their RMS value.
However, iCircuit seems to assume peak-to-peak which is counter-convention.
A radio button on an AC supply to choose RMS or p-p for the voltage input would be helpful.
1 voteThis will be available in v1.12 coming soon.

Modify the JK flip flop (or create a new one) with asynchronous set and reset
This would allow devices like the ‘74 D-type to be simulated

Have the Arduino “attachInterrupt” enabled.
The Arduino device does not recognise the “attachInterrupt”. Without this then circuits that interact by interrupts in real random time with the Arduino cannot be simulated. It may be a big ask, but without it I am stumped in developing my ignition system.
(There may be a French person asking a similar thing, but my French isn’t good enough to be sure...)

Ad a 74595 shift register with serial-in/paralel-out
There should be a ic shift register with serial-in/paralel-out.

3.3V Arduino
I mostly use the AtMega with 3.3V and it would save me a lot of additional design if I could have 3.3V directly out of the Arduino's Pins.
1 voteThis will be in version 1.11.2

Remove matrix error
Some circuits i creat have multiple earthy points (auto electrician) every time more than on earth is added to a circuit it creates a matrix error.
1 voteIn v1.11 of the app, the element that is causing trouble for the simulator will be highlighted. Hopefully that will help you determine the short in the circuit.

Display the Pin numbers of IC
It would be very usefull to display the actual pin numbers of IC aside the pin function
E.g for the 555 timer, instead of just CTL it is better to show 5 (CTL).
It helps a lot when taking reference circuits that most of time only show pin numbers9 votesPIN numbers are available in v1.11 and onward

Fix the simulation of nested subcircuits
Currently, when adding a subcircuit that itself contains a subcircuit, the simulation just behaves as if the subcircuit's ports aren't connected.
Please allow arbitrarily nested sub-circuits, so that we can use iCircuit to teach digital logic - half-adder, then full-adder, then multiple-bit adder, subtractor, then multiplier, and finally ALU.
It would also help if 'wide'/bus wires were possible.
Thanks!59 votesThis is fixed in v1.11 which will be released this week. Thank you all for your patience!

Burn, zap, overheat, and fry components
Allow componets to burn, zip, overheat, and fry! Perhpas put a yellow triangle on all components that are zapped. Maybe gradually increase the intensity of the yellow glow as the components tolerance is surpassed and fries.
Currently, diagrams will function just fine even if you overload components. For example you can feed a 7805 200V and it will still allow 5V to flow on the other end like it's no issue.
55 votesIn v1.12, warnings are now shown if you over-power resistors and other elements.

555 chip missing ground?
The 555 chip appears to be missing the ground pin?
1 voteYou can choose “Show Ground” in the 555’s properties. This will become the default in version 1.11.

More Switches!!
Please, put DPDT, 3PDT and more switches in the library with "momentary" option.
36 votesVersion 1.11 will have DPDT and DPST switches both with momentary options! It will be released this week.

Arduino
I know what I'm asking for is challenging and wont be here anytime soon but the ability to simulate arduino chips is just a game changer. Your app is great and one of the best on the app store at the moment but adding arduino and the ability to program them... Damn.
One more thing is just like what another guy suggested is to make an interactive sign when something is wrong in the circuit, for example if i use a 1ohm resistor and a 9 volt battery on an LED, it would show us that the LED blew off…

Add generic microprocessors
Would be really nice if you add simulation of some easy to use microprocessors like for example ATMega8-16 made by Atmel. Possibility to place it and run assembler code inside code. There is already app capable of this (Protheus if i`am right). It would not be easy but in fact it is about creating memory space as on CPU and learn your app basic instruction set like imp means jump to address (index) in program memory etc... Should not be extremely hard. I say this as c++ programmer.

iCircuit Online Gallery to Share
It would be great to publicly share circuits and have comments.
38 votesPlease go to http://gallery.icircuitapp.com to browse and upload circuits.
It will be integrated into the app in the next update.
