  1. 7400 ICs are always using 5V levels despite using non-5V VCC

7400 logic levels should depend on supplied VCC as these ICs can run normally with 2-6V and logic levels (VIH, VIL, VOH, VOL) depend on the VCC which is described in data-sheets. Hence 5V should be only used as a convenience when VCC is not connected at all.

  3. Add working/supply voltage option to all logic elements

Currently 5V logic is rarely used in real life. It would be nice to define this voltage in all gates, flip-flops etc. Voltage slider or at least standard values 5V, 3.3V, 2.5V, 1.8V, 1.2V.

  4. Make the subcircuit graphic more like an element graphic

The subcircuit symbol is very inflexible. What would be good is if it was made more like an 'element' graphic, allowing (in decending order of must-ness), via the parameter pane on the right, the user to:

1a: define the shape of the graphic (circle, rectangle, square)
1b: define where on the outline each port appears.
1c: resize and rotate the graphic (same way as elements, not via params)
1d: define the border width (incl off) and type (line, dotted, dashed)
    1e: define optional fill colour

2a: select shape of each port (eg triangle in/out, square, circle, etc)
    2b: define a…

  6. to add the forward voltage at an arbitrary current for diodes.

Currently, the forward voltage is defined at 1A, which for some diodes isn't available from the data sheets. Actually, we need a second field to enter the current.

  7. Allow switches to not reset the simulation.

This may be a me issue rather than a program issue, but I can’t seem to design a circuit in such a way that double clicking the switch to open or close it rests all the components in the circuit to their initial state. I have a PSU circuit with a switch for the outlets and a separate switch for the transformers and capacitor blanks (standby vs hard off). It would be nice to be able to test them to look for current behaviors without starting from a zero state.

  8. add Maxim's MAX232 and/or MAX203 UART level conversion chips to the device inventory

MAX232 level conversion chips are widely used for signal level changes, allowing modern day communications equipment to communicate with data devices that require CMOS/TTL signaling levels for communication.

  10. Analog photoresistor

    I love iCircuit ten years.
There is a component called "Photoresistor", but I would like to make it like a Cds resistor.
Currently, it only seems to respond to LED light by turning it ON or OFF. Cds resistors are used in "analog photocouplers" used in audio components, and they react to light and change their resistance in an analog way.
I would like you to add this kind of behavior.
    Thank you!

  14. Quartz Parameters

I am happy to see quartz devices! Great! But. I am not convinced about the parameters. Rather to have Q factor, I thin, it makes more sense to enter R (ESR) and L. ESR is one of the most important parameters, therefore it need to be entered. Please consider. If you have any question, do not hesitate to contact me, I am FAE for quartz.

  17. More interfaces and converter.

I wish i could convert and show binary as hex and dezimal values.
Or look what data was send on a serial or parallel interface.

Could you make some more complex converters and bus systems and IC's ?

  20. Fix potential bug with capacitors

I made an astable multivibrator following an example online. When I set it up initially it works fine but if I save and return to the circuit it does not work unless I remove a component and replace it.

Here is a link to the circuit like the one I copied (see below). To reproduce the error, make a working circuit (LEDs should blink alternating) then exit to iCircuit's main menu and return to the same circuit. It no longer functions the same way. Now cut one of the capacitors and paste it back in. The circuit will work again…
