Add variable voltage regulator LM317.
This seems like a major omission in the component descriptions.

The LM317 is supported in version 1.9

It may be simple to others who understand the inner workings of a LM317 to add a subcircuit but I agree it is a significant omission.

Something like LM317 can easily be added as a subcircuit, consisting of a 1.25V voltage source as a reference, with a 10 Meg series resistance to limit reference current, on the positive input of an op-amp, and a NPN darlington on the output. Connect the darlington emitter to the negative input. Add labels "adj" to the negative of the reference source, "out" to the darlington emitter, and "in" to the collector. Works fine for me. The op-amp should have e.g. 40V positive and 2V negative swing.
